Introducing the All-New F123 Series from Stratasys
Now there’s a more capable, more affordable professional rapid prototyping solution for offices and classrooms everywhere. The Stratasys F123 3D Printer Series provides professional 3D Printing in a powerful, affordable package. This all-new platform has been designed with the user in mind - combining the best of the Fortus series with several all-new features, the F123 Series meets the demands of advanced applications whilst offering users unparalelled ease of use.
Comprised of three models - the F170, F270, and F370 - there is a printer to suite every user. Having taken delivery of our F370 a few weeks ago, the printer has quickly become a favourite of our Applications Specialists. Today, we'll be introducing you to this new platform, and provide our initial first impressions.
Professional Printing, For Everyone
The F123 Series is all-new from the ground up, and is the product of over 25 years of development on the Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) process. At first glance the printer appears to be a shrunken down Fortus, boasting several features you would expect to find on machines in a much higher price class. However, there are several new features that take the F123 Series with regards to usability and performance.
Have a look at our new F370 - fits in quite well in our Innovation Center, doesn't it? Within 30 minutes of unboxing we were up and printing (something that cannot be said of most printers), and there are several user-oriented features that mean this printer is equally at home in a demanding office or classroom environment. Notably features include:
- Enhanced User Experience: all-new touch screen user interface for easy navigation
- Minimal Setup: easy material switches and auto changover for enhanced productivity
- Built in Auto-Calibration: high-quality prints with the click of a button
- Worry-Free Printing: remote scheduling and montoring with built-in camera
- GrabCAD Print Software: import directly from CAD for effort
Shape What's Next
This Series excels at all stages of the design prototyping process - produce fast, effective prototypes for concept development, as well as highly accurate and robust parts for design validation and functional performance.
The ability to print with with four different engineered thermoplastics (PLA, ABS-M30, ASA, and PC-ABS) in a multitude slice heights means the F123 Series is well suited for everything from quick prototyping to advanced end-use applications. Within a day we begain using our F370 for customer jobs with confidence: comparing parts from the F370 with those printed on a Fortus, our Applications Specialists could not tell the difference.
Draft Mode: High Quality Parts, Faster
The Stratasys F123 series also features the all-new fast-draft mode to produce initial design concepts quickly and economically. Now you can print twice as fast as standard build mode while consuming just a third of the material on average. For even more ef ciency and savings, choose PLA - athermoplastic made from renewable resources, PLA gives you the speed of fast-draft mode while keeping material expenses down. We've been taken by surprise at how fast the F123 Series printers are, and it has helped us meet project deadlines that other printers wouldn't.
Exceptional Performance, Exceptional Value
The all-in-one power of the Stratasys F123 series gives you value all around, with expanded capabilities and unprecedented accessibility. New and improved features save time and material, and incredible ease of use with both the hardware and the software means you don’t need special 3D printing expertise. Reliable, consistent printing ensures less waste, and we have been really impressed with the performance of our F370 after a few weeks of putting it through its paces.
