New Multi-Coloured, Multi Material 3D Printer. Introducing Objet 500 Connex3
Stratasys just announced a new member to the Connex family of 3D Printers. The NEW Objet 500 Connex3. The Objet 500 Connex3 utilizes the new three-material jetting technology. This technology automates the creation of complex prototypes that have diverse material properties without the need to assemble. The Objet500 Connex3 offers the most advanced material combinations of any color 3D printer on the market. It prints models that show the best end-product realism in many transparent to opaque colors, rigid and flexible areas on the same part, and mixed trays of up to three different base materials and their resulting composite materials. The tray size of the Objet500 Connex3 is the same as the current Objet500 Connex 500x400x200 mm (19.7x15.7x7.9").
The Objet500 Connex3 is an advanced Connex-enabled system. True to the unique capabilities of Connex multi-material 3D printing, this system is able to jet multiple resin types simultaneously. With three (rather than two) model-material jetting systems, the Objet500 Connex3 offers users the ability to print an even wider range of different materials than the current Connex 3D Printers, including: Vero color combinations (as many as 45 or 46 colors in a single build), transparent to opaque with color, rubber-like to rigid and the entire Digital ABS material family.
Having this capability will now enable designers to print Digital ABS in combination with the rubberlike materials creating a part with high toughness and unparalleled surface finish. Produce beautiful vivid colours repeatedly with the ability to 3D print in coloured translucency as well. The Objet500 Connex3 can support a wide range of modelling applications.
